Registered Audiologist

Marie is a cofounder and Director of the Child Development Centre of Oakville. She has an undergraduate degree in Speech Pathology and a Masters Degree in Audiology from Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York. Her previous positions included Head, Dept. of Audiology, Kingston General Hospital, Head Audiologist, Surrey Place Centre, Toronto, cofounder and Partner, Hearing Health Care Consultant Group, Toronto, and past President, NTA Enterprises Inc. Toronto.

Marie has extensive experience with special needs children and a special interest in children with central auditory processing disorders and learning difficulties. Professionally she has served on:

  • The Executive of the Ontario Association of Speech and Language Pathology and Audiology as President, Past President, and the chair of numerous committees
  • The Executive of the Canadian Association of Speech Pathology and Audiology as Treasurer and chair of the Audiology Certification Exam Committee
  • The Board of Directors of the Canadian Hearing Society, and
  • The Professional Advisory Committee of the Speech Foundation of Ontario.

Marie, is certified by Scientific Learning Corporation to run the Fast ForWord program, a remedial program aimed at language-learning impaired children.


Tracie Lindblad, M.Sc., M.Ed.

Registered Speech-Language Pathologist, Education Consultant

Tracie is a cofounder and Director of the Child Development Centre of Oakville, and founder and President of Four Points. Tracie received her undergraduate degree with a Specialist in Psychology and a minor in Linguistics from the University of Toronto. She attended the University of British Columbia for her Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology and later attended Brock University where she completed a Master of Education in Curriculum.

Tracie is a Speech-Language Pathologist with a special interest in serving children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD). She has extensive experience in the assessment, design, and implementation of intervention strategies to address communication skills, social skills, and curriculum difficulties for children with ASD. Tracie offers the following services:

  • Assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of  Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD--Autism, PDD-NOS, Asperger's Syndrome) and related disorders
  • Assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of language-learning disabilities
  • Assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech and language delays for pre-school and school-age children
  • Augmentative communication services (Individual Authorizer through the Assistive Devices Program -- ADP)
  • Parent/family and classroom-team education
  • Clinical Educator for SLP and CDA (Communication Disorders Assistant) students
  • Supervision of staff SLPs
  • Team consultation as part of Multi-disciplinary assessments/treatment

As well, Tracie is the founder and Director of Four Points, a business devoted to providing intensive behavioural intervention (IBI or ABA) for individuals with ASD.  As well, Four Points assists families in meeting their supervision obligations for ABA programs and will assist in therapist training . Tracie presently holds the following licenses/registrations:

  • Registered Speech-Language Pathologist, #2693, College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO)
  • Registered Speech-Language Pathologist, #326, New Brunswick Speech Association
  • Registered Speech-Language Pathologist, Saskatchewan Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (SASLPA)
  • Registered Individual Authorizer, Assistive Devices Program (ADP), Ministry of Health

Tracie presently is a member of:

Lynn Dupuis, M.Cl.Sc.

Registered Speech-Language Pathologist

Lynn joined CDCO in the summer of 1996.  She is an outstanding clinician with a special interest in treating pre-school children with communication delays and/or disorders.  Lynn also functions as the Department Head for the Speech-Language Pathology division.

Lynn offers the following services:

  • Assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of pre-school and school-age speech and language delays
  • Assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of articulation disorders, motor-speech disorders, and childhood Apraxia/dyspraxia
  • Assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of reading and written language deficits
  • Parent/family and classroom-team education
  • Clinical Educator for SLP and CDA (Communication Disorders Assistant) students
  • Supervision of staff SLPs
  • Team consultation as part of Multi-disciplinary assessments/treatment


Caroline Cappella , M.A.
Registered Speech-Language Pathologist

Caroline joined CDCO in May of 2004.  Caroline holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Disorders and Sciences from SUNY University at Buffalo.  She earned her Master of Arts degree in Speech-Language Pathology also from SUNY. She graduated in the top of her class, winning the student clinician award. 

Caroline has clinical experience working with both adults and preschool children.  Caroline has had intensive training in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD). Caroline also provides services within academic settings, on behalf of CDCO, at Giant Steps Toronto and the Niagara Peninsula Children's Centre - Autism/PDD classroom.

Caroline offers the following services:

  • Assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of pre-school and school-age speech and language delays
  • Assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of articulation disorders, motor-speech disorders, and childhood Apraxia/dyspraxia
  • Assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of fluency (e.g., stuttering)
  • Assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of language-learning disabilities

Debbie Hughes , M.Sc.
Registered Speech-Language Pathologist

Debbie joined CDCO in September of 2005 on a full-time basis.

Debbie offers the following services:

Christine Luckett
Office Manager / Reception

Chris has been with CDCO since our inception in 1996.  Her cheery disposition and genuine caring manner assist our clients in obtaining the necessary services while keeping all of the staff organized. Chris provides the following services:

  • reception duties
  • booking appointments
  • offering information regarding services at the Child Development Centre of Oakville
  • making outside referrals to appropriate agencies and/or physicians, and
  • coordination of all office procedures
